The Estée Lauder Companies is currently recruiting for a Junior Regulatory Affairs Assistant within the Regulatory Affairs department on a 13 month placement opportunity to join an experienced and committed team at Whitman Laboratories whereas a site we manufacture around a fifth of Estée Lauder’s global sales output. The department has a corporate role and provides the services to enable our products to be freely sold all over the world. This entails the preparation of documents for registration and notification, and for inspections from the Authorities. The Department ensures that all products are in compliance with the EU Cosmetics Regulations with regard to safety, performance and labelling. The Department also provides a service to Global Communications in providing technical information on ingredients and our products within the EU and other areas of the world.

About the Role

  • Handling documents for product registration for countries outside EU and legalize them through BIS (Business, Innovations and Skills Department), Foreign Office and Embassies
  • Providing information for ingredient inquiries to Global Consumer Communication Department
  • Notifying products through CPNP (Cosmetic Product Notification Portal) and provide data for EU Poison Centres
  • Preparing Product Information Files for inspection by the Authorities
  • Providing MSDS and prepare Product Technical Data Sheet

Qualifications

Must be studying towards or already have a degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology or any similar scientific discipline. Should be on course to achieve, or have already achieved, at least a 2:1.

Second foreign language desirable, but not essential, to enhance our international function e.g.French, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian, Korean.
