What Our 2 Year Procurement Graduate Scheme Involves
Our graduate schemes are all about creating our future leaders, you’ll be working as part of our core business teams where you’ll be supported every step of the way, enjoying structured training and the chance to shine through working on exciting projects. Not only will you gain wide-ranging experience of a big business and bags of industry insight our graduate roles are a great opportunity for you to kick-start your career. We’ll help you on your way to climbing the career ladder into managerial roles within both the function and wider business.
- You’ll rotate around our Procurement teams where you’ll work on real-life projects and get involved in all different areas from working with the Operations teams to build new sites and manage temporary labour to our Corporate Functions purchasing new systems.
- You’ll be hands on supporting key stakeholders to research and source new suppliers, manage existing supplier contracts and maintain the procurement process.
- You will be based in our Head Office in Morley, however there will be a requirement to travel nationally on occasion.
- You’ll be nurtured as part of the Hermes Emerging Talent Development programme with a business mentor provided to support you on your journey with us.
- Inclusive graduate peer networking and communal development days to allow you to connect with fellow graduates.
- As well as learning on-the-job, you’ll study for a CIPS qualification. We’ll support you by paying for your exam fees and giving you study leave where you’ll gain the skills and experience you need to enjoy a rewarding career as a Procurement Manager and beyond!
What You’ll Need To Become An EVRi Graduate
- A minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline
- A minimum Grade C (4) in Maths and English GCSEs
- Great communication skills and the ability to lead, influence and build strong working relationships with a diverse team of people
- Positive attitude, resilient, determined and a great listener and communicator
- To enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced environment
- Be analytical and good with numbers with plenty of common sense
- A full UK driving license as some travel may be required in this role between Hermes and client sites
- The ability to solve problems and keep your finger on the pulse of what’s happening across our business
