By joining the 2023 Expedia Group Graduate Program (EGGP) as a User Experience Content Designer I, you’ll complete two 6-month rotations on different teams to give you exposure to some of the many facets of our travel ecosystem. While you will be a full-time employee throughout the program, you’ll also benefit from dedicated professional and personal development opportunities during your rotations to help you identify what excites you the most about your career future. You will be aligned with a permanent role after the conclusion of EGGP in a role we call Destination Role.
EGGP Overview
- Team Rotations: two team rotations (in the same office, within the same job profile) to build knowledge of our business, across various Expedia Group divisions. Contribute to meaningful work that makes a positive impact on travel, all while advancing your career
- Destination Role: after completing your two rotations in the program, align with your permanent Destination Role with one team aligned to your skills, interests, and position availability
- Onboarding: first week onboarding with our Early Careers team in your local office including introduction to Expedia Group and best business practices, essential new hire training, laptop set up, meeting your graduate cohort, manager, and navigator
- Launchpad (Training): in-depth, role-specific two weeks of technical and professional skills learning in a hub location (Seattle/London/Gurgaon) to help set you up for success in the program
- Learning Series: continued learning throughout your program to build technical and professional skills
- Leadership Series: opportunities to directly ask questions and learn about the career journeys of our leaders during exclusive EGGP-only Q&A events
- Social Events and Networking: build your network with other participants in the program during regular socials and join our Inclusion Business Groups
- Support Network: mentorship from a dedicated structure of managers and navigators (buddies) as well as the Early Careers and Learning & Development teams; access to Expedia Group mentoring programs

What You’ll Do
Do you have a love for technology and language and want to help millions of travelers find the information they need to plan and enjoy their trips? Content Designers take customer use cases, research data requirements, and execute the assembly of data into content that helps travelers. In this role, you'll engage multiple backend systems to craft information and assemble content at scale to power Expedia Group's travel platform.
- Develop skills in writing content for digital products, including Web and app UIs, conversational experiences, and related documentation
- Demonstrate curiosity and develop an understanding of how the multi-disciplinary team works together to tackle user problems
- Seek to understand user-centered research and design practices
- Learn to communicate decision-making rationale to team members using customer, business, or competitive insights
- Utilize project’s metrics, as well as previous test data and user feedback, when crafting or proposing new content
Who You Are

- Must be graduating in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field (e.g., Human Computer Interaction, Design, English, Communications, Journalism, Information Systems)
- Must have no more than 2 years' professional experience
- Must be willing to relocate to city of job location if outside commuting distance
- Helpful to understand the fundamentals of these core UX design skills: UX Writing; Content Audits and Analysis; Content Mapping and Modeling; Content Planning and Sourcing; Conversational Design; Information Architecture Techniques (e.g., Taxonomy, Ontology); Facilitation; and Storytelling
- Helpful to have effective communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of partners (e.g., internal, external, technical, non-technical people)
