Events management is an exciting, fast-paced function requiring strong organisation, communication and team working skills to run successful events and promote Experian’s brand.
In this industrial placement you’ll be supporting Experian’s Events Team, who manage internal and external events for UK&I and other regions on occasion. You’ll provide assistance to the Event Managers with personal responsibility for specific roles as well as overall pre-event, onsite and post-event support on a number of events throughout the year.
Day to day, you could be
- Setting up and running digital events such as webinars and virtual user groups
- Working with the Events Team and stakeholders to understand customer needs, strategic objectives and business context.
- Liaising with a variety of stakeholders, ensuring all relevant information is provided in a timely manner to support the smooth running of events.
- Creating content for event apps
- Collating and organising shipment of materials and equipment to venues
- Assigned a specific event role such as delegate management, logistics or speaker management
- Providing onsite event support on a number of events throughout the year
- Producing event feedback results and analysis
You’ll build upon your experience throughout this placement and could progress to having personal responsibility for small face-to-face events including setting and managing their budgets.

Qualifications
To apply for this opportunity you must be a current undergraduate, and be able to undertake a year in industry placement from July 2024- August 2025. We accept applications from all degree backgrounds but ideally, you’ll be studying for an Events Management degree, or have some experience in organising events. Regardless, a clear passion for events management is essential.
Whilst we have adopted a hybrid way of working, this role is based in Nottingham and requires the successful applicant to work in the office 1-2 days weekly. Due to the nature of the role, you’ll also need to be happy to travel to events in other locations across the UK (travel to events expensed), which will require flexibility in working hours.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential, as well as basic project management skills. Events management is an exciting and fast-paced career path, so being highly organised, detail oriented, have good numeracy skills, with strong time management skills and the ability to multitask different priorities is important. You’ll enjoy problem solving and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
