The role and responsibilities
The programme is designed to enable you to build a career platform of technical, industry and specialist knowledge. It will give you the tools and opportunity to establish your own solid career path in various senior engineering positions and allow you to explore gaining further professional registration such as chartership, with support via our mentoring programme.
Your first role will depend on your experience, but could include:
- Contact Engineer - you could be providing daily technical support as part of a team on a unit ensuring on-grade production that meets global market demand
- Development Engineer - you could find yourself working on a major capital project to increase capacity or reliability or be responsible for implementing new initiatives to improve site safety.
- Process Safety Engineer or Environmental Engineer, protecting our people, local communities and the environment by identifying and mitigating potential risks
- Supply Chain coordination, optimising the profitability of the site by managing the movement and storage of feed, raw materials and products to meet market demand.
About you
To be eligible for this role, you must:
- Have at least a 2:1 (or equivalent) degree in Chemical Engineering
- Have graduated in the last 3 years
- Be able to demonstrate a broad range of personal effectiveness and leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate and influence business decisions in a team environment
- Be motivated to continue your professional development as an engineer and work with Company mentors towards IChemE Chartership, if not already obtained.
- Relevant work experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
