ExxonMobil has operated in the U.K. for more than 135 years. We are best known today for the marketing of our Esso fuels and Mobil 1 lubricants and for our petrochemicals. What role you will play in our team
If successful you will be part of the EMGT Analytics team with responsibility for understanding and analysing the Naphtha / Light Ends market, identifying and capturing trade opportunities, strengthening Naphtha fundamental analysis cross regionally as part of the wider ExxonMobil trading analytics community.
What you will do
- Leverage detailed market knowledge to recommend trading & origination strategies
- Lead the development of analytical tools to improve insights from market fundamentals
- Communicate concisely and timely the impact of market analysis / events to the Traders
- Produce ad-hoc analysis and presentations when required
- Effectively collaborate with the light ends global trading / analytics teams, embracing new technologies and advanced analytics
About you
- Be educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in an analytical discipline e.g. Engineering, Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics (or hold other relevant industry experience)
- Have a sound understanding of the Naphtha market fundamentals ; S&D modelling, trade flows, arbitrage, margin calculations and derivatives
- Proficiency / experience with data modelling and R, Python or Matlab would be beneficial (not essential)
