About the Bright Network - EY Empower Programme

EY Empower is a new initiative developed in partnership with Bright Network, specifically designed to support those who come from traditionally under-represented groups in the industry.

If accepted on to the programme, you will be offered in-depth coaching and support throughout the rest of the EY recruitment process, to help you realise your full potential. This will be provided across a variety of formats, including group and 1-2-1 coaching sessions, and sign-posting to relevant upskilling tools and material.

You will also be able to skip part of the EY online portal stage (learning for a changing world).

EY Empower: Actuarial Graduate Programme

Put your proactive attitude and analytical problem-solving abilities to good use.

At EY, no question is too small, too ambitious or too imaginative. We use our curiosity to ask better questions, that inspire better answers.

Help our UK and Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA) clients meet their business goals. As well as building your own hands-on experience helping businesses manage their insurance or pension account risks, you’ll get the best support in the business – helping you in becoming a certified actuary. You’ll take on responsibility and solve complex challenges. Here, you can define your success. Here, your career is truly yours to build. Experience our world. Your way.

Our fast-changing world in Actuarial can create lots of opportunity for insurance businesses, but it also creates new risks. We help our clients identify these risks by carrying out complex calculations and by using our strengths to define success.

What programmes can you join?

Life Insurance - Bristol, Edinburgh & London

Offer planning and strategic solutions to help clients manage risks and grow.

Non-life insurance - Bristol & London

Help clients identify and manage risks by asking the right questions, setting priorities and creating action plans for long-term success.

Pensions and Investments - Leeds & London

Assist clients across Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa with pension accounts, by developing problem-solving ideas and assisting with the creation of solutions.

Technology in Actuarial

We come up with creative solutions to problems we see day-to-day on our projects, such as using cloud-hosted applications that use artificial intelligence to validate data and predict metrics.

What will you be doing?

You’ll build a career that’s yours to own. With infinite opportunities to lead, learn and transform, we’ll empower you to build a world as unique as you. You’ll be:

  • Analysing data to identify trends and insights, communicating with clients, writing reports and presenting your work
  • Building strong relationships with people in our UK offices and across EMEIA, and with our clients.
  • Using the latest technology to allow clients to better leverage their actuarial teams for insightful analysis
  • Collaborating across functions to provide clients the best service
