About the Bright Network - EY Empower Programme
EY Empower is a new initiative developed in partnership with Bright Network, specifically designed to support those who come from traditionally under-represented groups in the industry.
If accepted on to the programme, you will be offered in-depth coaching and support throughout the rest of the EY recruitment process, to help you realise your full potential.
This will be provided across a variety of formats, including group and 1-2-1 coaching sessions, and sign-posting to relevant upskilling tools and material.

About the programme
As part of the Tax team’s People Advisory Services (PAS), you’ll look at how businesses reward and relocate employees around the world – and how it affects their tax. The future of work means a global workforce and continual change. You’ll learn what this means for you and for the ever-changing society we live in. You’ll explore the impact on communities and develop the skills needed to advise clients – guiding business in the right direction for tomorrow’s world.
What will you be doing?
- Getting a sense of the scope of our work in either Mobility or Reward in a UK & Ireland or Financial Services team.
- Contributing to real client projects.
- Managing your own work, time and deliverables with support from your team.

Be completely immersed in the world of work at EY. After a company induction, you’ll join your team in either UK & Ireland or Financial Services. Once you’ve been brought up to speed with what we do, you’ll jump straight into work, alongside graduates on real client projects. If you do a great job, you could be offered a place on the graduate programme to come back to when you finish university.

Are you eligible to apply?
If you’re in your penultimate year at university, or if you’re already in your final year but will be doing a one-year master’s degree or taking a gap year, this internship is for you
To be eligible for the EY Empower programme, you must identify within any of the listed groups below:
- A minority ethnic group, including (but not limited to) Black Heritage, Mixed/Multiple Ethnic Heritage and Asian
- Female
- LGBTQ+
- From a lower socio-economic background
- Identify as having a disability
We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will however, need to be working towards an honours degree in any subject - some programmes will require a subject relevant to the business area, and have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent) to be eligible to apply.
