    Your role

    As an Assistant Project Manager at Fastned, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality charging stations across the UK. Joining forces with the Construction Lead UK and UK Construction Managers, you will oversee and coordinate the implementation of our ambitious charging station deployment program.

    Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of the projects, including managing applications for new grid connections to secure the power to our sites, managing project data, and assisting in procurement activities.

    In this fast-paced role, we are seeking someone with a "chasers" mentality who will proactively pursue grid operators and stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of our projects. Your tenacity and determination will be key to overcoming challenges and driving the projects forward.

    Here's what we're seeking in an ideal candidate:

    • A relevant degree/qualification (or equivalent experience) in geography, business, economics, engineering or a related field.
    • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders with propensity to maintain strong relationships.
    • Structured and efficient work approach with excellent organizational skills.
    • A keen eye for detail and comfort in handling large volumes of data.
    • Proficiency in spreadsheet solutions such as Excel, Google Sheets, and a quick ability to adapt to new software.
    • A proactive "chasers" mentality, demonstrating a relentless pursuit of project goals and successfully engaging with DNOs, IDNOs and stakeholders.

    Nice-to-haves

    While not mandatory, the following qualities and experiences would be considered advantageous:

    • Previous professional consultancy experience or familiarity with DNOs/IDNOs.
    • Knowledge of HV electrical design and UK grid connections.
    • Experience with databases and project management software.
