    The Fibre Planning Manager will be responsible for delivering fibre plans, managing the planning teams (both internally and with our design partner) and ensuring robust processes are in place to achieve accurate and timely delivery.

    What Will You Be Doing

    • Manage in house and/or 3rd party team delivering Fibre plans
    • Produce project plans and resource requirement forecasts
    • Set guidelines and ensure that designs meet engineering guidelines
    • Provide GIS system oversight
    • Design and maintain accurate systems
    • Produce and/or approve technical documentation
    • Manage the wayleave process
    • Provide support to our build team and contractors throughout the life of the build
    • Provide leadership within the planning team with direct management of a small team, ensuring a people focused approach and encouraging learning and collaboration

    What Will You Bring

    • A graduate (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering, GIS, Data Communications, or a related/similar field
    • Effective communication skills to ensure quality interaction with your team, the client and management
    • Computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
    • Capable of using GIS systems such as: ESRI Programmes (ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online), QGIS, AutoCAD, Google Earth, etc
    • Civils, Cabling and Network Activation experience coupled with good technical knowledge of fibre networks
    • Proven people management and leadership experience
    • Experienced in project management (Prince 2 or PMP or equivalent qualifications are desired but not essential)
    • Working knowledge gained within a telecoms environment is advantageous as is knowledge of local authority road works codes of practice
