We’re building something special at Fibrus, and our team is at the very heart of it.

We’re unashamedly selective in who we bring into our team – you’ll have exceptional ability, share our purpose, and quite simply love what you do! And you’ll feel the same about your next employer. You’ll want to join a growing organisation, to help mould the business and to have a real voice in how things are done. You’ll want to grow and develop your career and you’re looking for a business which will encourage you to be, and do, your very best.

We can offer all of that, along with competitive base salaries, bonus/commission schemes and enhanced company benefits.

    About the role

Are you a recent graduate from a GIS or related engineering field?

We have an amazing opportunity for two self-motivated individuals with a keen eye for detail, who can work both on their own and as part of a team, liaising with both engineers and senior staff.

As a Graduate Fibre Planner you will be working on new and existing design projects as Fibrus rolls out its Fibre to the Home (FTTH) network across Northern Ireland. Working with the Planning Manager you will have responsibility for ensuring our design partners produce fibre designs that are compliant with our agreed network architecture guidelines and contain the necessary detailed information to ensure build and cost accuracy. Additionally, you will have the responsibility to ensure each area design yields the maximum number of premises passed possible within the cost guidelines for the project.

We encourage a supportive and inclusive environment, where everyone feels welcome, and we are excited to speak to potential colleagues who share our purpose!

    What will you bring?

    • The perfect person may be a recent university graduate or trade school graduate who has experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Engineering (electrical, telecoms, architectural, mechanical, software, etc), or any other computer or IT based studies.
    • Telecoms experience is not a prerequisite and will be sufficiently trained by Fibrus personnel prior to the role fully commencing.
    • You will contribute to the culture of curiosity, commitment and collaboration demonstrating how they reflect the following attributes:
    • Demonstrable experience in use of a range of GIS software e.g. ESRI products, QGIS, etc. AutoCAD experience is also welcomed.
    • Proficient experience using Microsoft Office programs, Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc
    • Strong computer knowledge and troubleshooting mindset
    • Full driving licence highly preferable but not essential.

    Who are Fibrus?

Fibrus are an exciting new telecommunications provider, founded and launched by Conal Henry (Chair) and Dominic Kearns (CEO) by securing backing from Infracapital with the single focus of being a “Full-Fibre” broadband company.
