    Graduate Programme Structure

    • The graduate position is permanent from day one.
    • Your first 6 months is a structured and highly supported training program. During this time you will gain exposure to many areas of the Research & Development organisation.
    • You will have a dedicated mentor/coach, (we call them Graduate Success Coaches), to support you through the program.
    • You will have access to very talented people that you can learn from.
    • Once you complete the graduate program you will join one of our Feature Crews (this is what we call a software development team) as a fully-fledged member of the Research & Development division.
    • The recruitment process is a 45-minute interview via Zoom with a member of our recruitment team. This is followed by a virtual assessment day taking place on Wednesday 29th March 2023.
    • The start date of the position is 4th September 2023

    Location

    The job is office based where we employ a hybrid model with a high degree of flexibility. Although people are welcome to come into the office full time, teams typically work in the office two or three days a week, and from home two or three days a week. In the initial months of the Graduate Scheme you will be expected to be in the office five days a week.

    The Role

    As a Graduate Product Manager you will have a customer focus; collaborating with colleagues within our dynamic Product Management team and internal/external stakeholders to support the product strategy for FinancialForce.

    You will be joining a friendly, talented product team that will support and mentor you through the next steps of your product management journey. You will have opportunities to solve user problems and contribute to the design of software solutions that will be used by some of the world’s leading companies. We focus on:

    What you will do in this role

    • This will be a varied role that gives you exposure to all the excitement and challenges of being a Product Manager. You can expect to:
    • Support Product Managers and designers to understand what our customers need and test solution designs with customer users
    • Work with engineering teams to deliver these capabilities;
    • Support Product Managers with a range of “dig deep” activities - finding trends in usage analytics; summarising customer feedback; testing the software and more;
    • Deliver and document process flow maps;
    • Write user stories and requirements;
    • Participate in design sessions effectively & constructively with others.

    What you need to be successful in this role

    • You need to be a good communicator, with the ability to articulate your ideas effectively;
    • Be a self-starter, motivated with an appetite to learn;
    • Be adaptable and expect to work across a range of different activities.

    What else would be great

    • Have an awareness of Agile development methodologies
    • Hands-on experience with requirements gathering and usability testing
    • Experience of software used within a business or experience of having worked in a business environment

    This position requires someone with good interpersonal skills, you will need to work with many departments to ensure that the requirements of many stakeholders are incorporated in our products. Additionally, you will be comfortable communicating with individuals and teams from both technical and commercial backgrounds.

    This role involves working closely with the FinancialForce development teams, including Software Engineers and UX Designers.
