Do you have good people skills, have an interest in the built and natural environment and enjoy being out and about? Whatever your degree, start a successful career in property with Fisher German.

    Why Fisher German

Sporting competitions, charity events, CPD days, rotations and a fantastic graduate development programme with excellent APC support - the company has a history going back as far as 1830 but that doesn’t mean we are behind the times!

    The Opportunity

Our Infrastructure Services department is looking for graduates to join their team in Ashby de la Zouch and Newark from summer 2023. Duties will include but are not limited to:

    • Advising on land related issues associated with major infrastructure projects
    • Compensation negotiation, compulsory purchase, statutory rights and managing land aspects during construction
    • Liaising with landowners, tenants, contractors and surveying professionals
    • Interrogation of lease agreements, wayleaves and Deeds
    • Negotiating agreements to acquire land and rights
    • Advising on and acquiring planning and environmental consents for projects

    The Requirements

We are more than happy to teach you all the technical skills you need. It is your personal attributes and commitment to the role that are key. Ideally, you will:

    • Be a student from any degree subject, preferably but not necessarily property or land related
    • Be committed to continuing your studies in order to become chartered with the RICS
    • Have an interest in the built and natural environment as well as an awareness of the use and importance of infrastructure assets and projects
    • Have very good people and communication skills - both verbal and written
    • Adopt a consultative approach and be able to identify and solve problems
    • Have the ability to work on multiple projects and tasks at any one time, working in a way that is highly agile and responsive to rapidly changing client and site requirements
    • Have access to transport, or be willing to do so by the time you start work, as you will often be required to travel to out of town client sites
    • Enjoy going out and about in all weathers, travelling across the region or further afield and working outside of the normal 9-5 when required.
