Flint Global, supported by Google invites applications for the Policy Summer Institute Internship.

The Policy Summer Institute Internship is paid internship from 10 June 2024 for 9 weeks in London. Placements will be with Flint Global in London, supported by Google. First week will be hosted virtually by Google with a day spent in the local Google office.

About the Policy Summer Institute (PSI)

PSI is a unique program supported by Google and exclusively open to students who are enrolled in or due to graduate from a master’s or bachelor’s degree in the social sciences at a University in the UK. Scholars are invited to spend a week programme hosted by Google in London, followed by a 9-week summer internship with Flint Global in London. PSI scholars will be immersed in dynamic and skill-based learning opportunities to enhance their policy skillset with their consultancy. They will be partnered with a Google mentor to provide support and career guidance for the duration of their internship.

PSI scholars are a diverse group of students with interests across all disciplines in the social sciences. The program aims to improve access to in-house careers at tech companies and policy consultancies by expanding opportunities and removing barriers for underrepresented talent. Students who identify with a group that is historically underrepresented in the technology industry and first-generation university students are especially encouraged to apply. We offer competitive remuneration for this internship.

About Flint Global

Flint supports clients on public policy, politics, regulation, and commercial strategy. Our clients want to understand, in detail, how they can build a long-term strategy to thrive commercially in a changing and increasingly uncertain policy environment.

On any given day you could be helping to; research and draft a policy positioning paper for a client, create an engagement strategy, or prepare a briefing for a ministerial meeting. The range of work we do at Flint is wide, no day is the same, and you will have a chance to learn new skills.

Flint provides an excellent professional and educational environment for an intern to learn skills that will be invaluable for their development. There will be space to engage in discussion and debates on substantive policy and political challenges, as well as significant scope for progression through the company.
