    Who You'll Work With

    As part of the UK&I Infrastructure Strategy and Solutions function, your task will be focused on providing solution design, technical planning and consultancy to the UKI technology teams and business.

    With the establishment of the Flutter UK&I Centres of excellence and wider UK&I divisional operating model the team will play a critical role in providing integration solutions to support the business mobilisation. They will also contribute significantly to the delivery of UKI Infrastructure roadmaps including design of solutions to support public cloud adoption. By its nature Infrastructure is a collection of diverse technical domains, the team play its part by providing solutions that integrate these domains and meet the objectives of the business.

    Role Description

    The Solutions Architect is a key role to deliver scalable, reliable on-premise infrastructure and public cloud platforms across Flutter UKI. Working closely with technical partners across the division you will design and document solutions capable of meeting the ambitious requirements for availability, stability and scalability necessary to support a rapidly growing online gaming and betting business.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Contribute to the infrastructure platforms & public cloud platforms roadmap by identifying how solutions based on the latest products/services can deliver the UKI infrastructure strategic vision.
    • Technical ownership of the end to end solution, providing technical leadership during project planning & delivery.
    • Produce practical designs and solutions for sophisticated demands and requirements.
    • Ensure that solution designs are aligned to architectural principles and can meet demands of large-scale workloads.
    • Deliver fit for purpose solutions by ensuring that functional and non-functional requirements are well understood.
    • Seek opportunities to remove technical debt from infrastructure platforms and reduce complexity.
    • Maintain high quality solution documentation, detailed drawings and plans.
    • Communicate efficiently through face to face interaction, presentation and consumable documentation, both at a deep technical level and for senior non-technical audiences.
    • Work with 3rd party vendors and internal teams to evaluate how new hardware/software services will deliver on solution requirements.
    • Provide consultancy to UKI stakeholders on project and discovery engagements.
    • Collaborate with other architects & designers across Flutter to deliver end to end solutions.
    • Contribute to technical implementation plans and providing guidance to project teams
    • Support the PPB/SBG Infrastructure engagement leads to triage technical requirements for new demand.
    • Provide accurate estimation for cost, effort and risk.
    • Contribute to the wider UKI architectural community.

    Working as a design authority across private and public cloud infrastructure platforms you will produce high quality designs which meet the functional and non-functional requirements identified, demonstrating how these have been met clearly. A key part skill required is the ability to collaborate with wide set of partners both highly technical & non-technical. For larger initiatives you will be required to set technical direction and provide guidance when solving complex problems.
