The data tech stack in Footasylum has evolved significantly over the last year, giving us lots of opportunity to use data to better serve our customers and colleagues. We are growing our data team to enable us to unlock more value from the technology we have invested in.
We are looking for a BI Developer to join our growing Business Intelligence function to help transform the way we do business. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to join a progressive, supportive team driving the second phase of Footasylum’s Data Strategy.
What you will do
- Work with the business to understand their data needs and the questions they are trying to answer
- Design and build Power BI reports to replace existing SSRS reporting
- Construct SQL queries to feed into Power BI reporting
- Work in a collaborative DevOps culture building continuous integration, automation, safety and quality into everything you do
- Work closely with data engineers and the wider data team to help support business areas to understand their problems, and design solutions
- Develop relationships with other areas of the business through the Business Intelligence community of practice to share knowledge, evaluate opportunities and recommend improvements
The Data Team
The objective of the data team is to empower the business by using data over opinions and to create efficiencies across the supply chain using machine learning. The data team is an enabling team and as such it is important to note that we are an integral function for both the tech teams and the business. By creating robust solutions that allow us to understand data from our multi-disciplinary teams through either event based data in our data warehouse we can create meaningful insights.
About You
This is an exciting role for someone who ideally has;
- Good experience of SQL
- Experience of either Power BI or Tableau
- An understanding of data principles, data warehousing and data development best practices
- An understanding of modern practices including the use of cloud native technologies (ideally Azure)Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams
- A relevant degree qualification is desirable, but not essential
- Experience in a retail environment is also desirable, but not essential
Salary & Benefits
We are offering a salary range between £30,000 - £45,000 (full time) dependant on experience.

Location
Please note, this is not a remote role and our expectation is that you will be able to attend Head Office in a hybrid way, in Greater Manchester.
