    Graduate Scheme Pathways

    Through the Ford Technical/Design graduate scheme, you get to work on meaningful projects from day one. During the 2-year programme, you could be working in the following areas:

    Ford Credit (IT)

    Location: Dunton

    • FCE Bank plc (FCE) is a licensed bank and wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company (FMC). Operating in 11 European countries through a branch and subsidiary network, FCE provides a variety of branded automotive financial products and services to Ford dealers and customers. These products and services play an important role in supporting sales of Ford vehicles. As Ford Money, FCE also offers savings products to retail customers in the UK and Germany.

    D-Ford

    Location: Here East (Stratford)

    • Using human-centred design, we help Ford drive human progress through empathy, creativity, and design. Together, we are creating a future where things like mobility, autonomy and connectivity are flexible, memorable, mindful, and most of all, empowering.

    Enterprise Connectivity

    Location: Dunton, Here East (Stratford)

    • The Enterprise Connectivity team delivers value to our customers through simple and engaging digital experiences. We base our products and services on the latest cloud technologies, software, and mobile applications. Thus we recognise the importance of delivering connected experiences for our customers.

    Power Train Manufacturing Engineering (PTME)

    Location: Dunton

    • Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) Europe equips our region’s plants with world leading manufacturing systems. We design and install agile, cost-effective production systems, develop manufacturing processes to enable E-Drive and battery production, innovate and apply state of the art technologies and optimise production through data driven simulation and analytics. We have a team of talented engineers and at this exciting time, we are growing as we play a pivotal role in transitioning from our historical product line up of Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) to a strong Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) powertrain offering. You will be a key member of our PTME family, helping us to modernise our business by manufacturing a new range of electrified power units and battery solutions for vehicles. Your day will be exciting and challenging while giving you the opportunity to steer your own future.

    Product Development

    Location: Dunton

    • Product Development is utilizing Design Thinking and User Experience methods to deliver breakthrough products and services. Our team are focused on bringing innovative, exciting, and sustainable ideas to life. From autonomy and electrification to smart mobility technologies, our teams around the world are working together to make smart vehicles for a smart world.

    Sustainability, Environment and Safety Engineering

    Location: Dunton

    • We provide technical and regulatory expertise related to product safety, emissions, fuel economy, facility environmental matters and vehicle recycling.

    IT

    Location: Dunton, Dagenham, Here East (Stratford)

    • IT is the backbone to Ford Motor Company, from the initial vehicle design concept, its manufacturing to the delivery to the customer. IT provides software products and services to enable the customer experience to be refined leveraging the latest cloud and infrastructure technologies.

    If you have a particular preference for a pathway you will be able to put this in your application submission. For successful candidates, preferences will then be taken into account, along with the Ford team recommending the best fit role/pathway for based on what they have learnt about you through the process.

    Where will you be working from

    Depending on which area of the business you are placed you could be based at our Dunton campus in Essex or Here East (Stratford) with the opportunity for hybrid working.
