    To assist with the coordination of systems and processes which allow the test house to fulfil the customer expectations in line with customer and international specifications and standards.

    Main purpose

    • Conduct contract review of incoming orders, and interact with customers to ensure that gaps are communicated and correctly understood.
    • Act as departmental reviewer of new and amended customer and regulatory specifications in Q-Pulse.
    • Develop and maintain testing specifications on TROPOS as requested by customers.
    • Provide service to FSG Testing Technical teams in quality applications, tools and systems relevant to their testing needs.
    • Manage problem reports and coordinate subsequent corrective action requests.
    • Use of non-conformance database to analyse trends and contribute to implementation of continuous improvement strategies.
    • Assist Senior Quality Engineer in investigating and resolving external non-conformances.
    • Support the maintenance and/or establishment of the necessary quality management systems.
    • Undertake other quality duties within the activities of the FSG Test House.
    • Support Laboratory staff at all levels with queries regarding test specifications and procedures.
    • Work closely with the test house production teams to improve lines of communication, giving clarity on current priorities.
    • Provide support to Machining, Metallurgical and Mechanical testing areas to assist in increased throughput, specific roles to be identified via skills matrix.

    Key tasks and accountabilities

    • Contract review of incoming orders to ensure correct specs are applied and test plans are created accordingly.
    • Review latest revisions of customer and international standards and specifications to ensure that testing is carried out in accordance.
    • Maintain test plans in Tropos to reflect latest revision of standards and specifications.
    • Liaise with customers around there testing requirements and resolve any arising issues.

    Knowledge

    • Experience of using Microsoft Office is a key requirement.
    • Experience of Epicor – Tropos system would be highly advantageous.
    • Experience in reading and interpretation of standards and drawings.
