The Graduate Quality Engineer will report directly to the Quality Manager. You will be responsible for handling external and internal customer complaints, measuring and analyzing quality data, driving quality and process improvement using problem solving process (PSP) and other tools. You will support the Quality Manager with driving continuous improvement and reduce External and Internal DPM.
Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
- Investigate, analyse and drive improvements through Problem Solving Process (PSP) for both external and internal Quality issues raised by implementing solid countermeasures.
- Participate in daily and weekly departmental meetings to develop and determine processes improvements for new and existing products.
- Create test procedures / work instructions for boards being subcontracted for assembly.
- Produce and continually review standard work instructions for manufacturing cells.
- Play an active role in NPI Projects, Cell Design and Product Test following the EC and toll gate process
- Maintain ISO 9001-2015 certification and perform internal and external Audits
- Drive automation, development of new methods, tooling and test systems to reduce cycle time and improve quality and productivity
- Troubleshoot product to component level using Engineering specification, schematics and product specifications.
- Actively supports Supplier Quality
- Maintain work area in accordance with established housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment
- Performs similar, comparable or any other reasonable duty as required
Essential Experience / Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Ability to Interpret Electrical and mechanical drawings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of electronic measurement techniques especially in power electronics and the analog signal domain would be advantageous
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge of Lean tools and techniques
- At least 1 years’ experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Interest in ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management Systems and performing internal and external audits
- Experience of Labview programming
- Experience with Linux command line
