Our Finance team is at the heart of our business, covering all aspects of financial management, accounting and controlling. This multidisciplinary role covers the range of financial responsibilities with direct involvement in key projects to further develop our internal effectiveness. As Finance Project Manager, you will be part of our Northern Europe and Sub-Saharan (NESSA) Cluster of countries. Therefore, you will closely collaborate and build relationships with colleagues across functions and regions.

As a part of our Franke Graduate and Early Career Program (GEC), we are looking for a highly motivated, proactive new team member to join our team in Manchester. This position reports to the Cluster Head of Finance & Controlling, also based in Manchester.

To support your growth as a GEC participant, you will be provided with diverse developmental opportunities, incl. project management and leadership trainings, mentoring and coaching. The different stages of the 12-18 month program offer a well-rounded, personalized approach that encourages proactivity and taking the lead in your development towards becoming a future leader in your field(s). Your mentor and team strongly support and prepare you to take on a key role in one of our divisions or matrix functions after the successful completion of the program.

Your Responsibilities

The Finance Project Manager will be involved in a key project aiming to improve the standardisation of reporting across the cluster, using business intelligence tools to develop and improve reporting. The aim of this project is to support our NESSA businesses with sales and margin analysis by customer and by products and assist in our commercial development.

The project will involve working closely with the sales, product and management teams in our different businesses to gain a good understanding of their commercial requirements.

This project will initially focus on NESSA, and then expand to other clusters within the Franke Group.

In addition to the project work, this role will give the successful candidate significant exposure to essential business finance activities such as audit, credit control, forecasting and budgeting, financial controlling, technical accounting and reconciliation (month and year-end).

Your Profile

  • Master’s Degree, preferably in areas relating to finance and controlling or a BA with one or two years' corporate financial experience
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a prerequisite, other languages are an asset
  • You need to demonstrate a genuine interest in our business and be eager to discover and learn about different functions and roles within Franke
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills
  • Team player and an agile learner with a proactive and committed mindset
  • Willingness to push yourself out of your comfort zone and take on new challenges

This role will require a solid financial background to understand the financial implications to the business and strong technical skills to work with the businesses' Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as SAP and SAC / AFO BI tools for the extraction, development and set up of reports that are required.
