Team Information
The IA and Security Team at Frazer-Nash is a team of IA and Security experts with experience across multiple domains. As an integrated member of the team you will have the opportunity to get involved in several different projects. Currently the team are working across projects including:
- Defence systems:
- Security aspects of the new frigates and new submarines under development; and
- Military satellite systems.
- The security of the next generation of nuclear power, including Operational Technology;
- Security governance arrangements for the decommissioning of nuclear sites; and
- Cyber security audits and reviews for commercial companies.
Our projects require expertise in the cyber security and risk management of systems and we will identify where your skills will best fit and provide you with experience of interesting projects as you develop your career with us.
Across Frazer-Nash we have a variety of teams whom we work closely with on multi-disciplinary engineering projects that can offer you a range of opportunities to suit the career path that you want. It is our aim to help guide you as you develop your experience and skills within the IA and Security team.
What you’ll be doing at Frazer-Nash?
Our growing IA and Security Team works closely with a diverse range of cutting-edge customers and supports different business groups within Frazer-Nash. We are seeking proactive and enthusiastic individuals to join this busy team. Our work spans different domains and it is likely you will primarily be involved in defence and/or nuclear work.
We place a great deal of importance on teamwork, mentoring and support and working within the team your experience will develop quickly and you could soon be the IA project lead as you work alongside colleagues from across the team or from other teams such as the Behavioural Psychology Unit.
Below are just a few recent examples of projects that we have been working on, to give you a flavour of the type of work you will have the opportunity to get involved in:
- Security of the new national Flagship;
- Security aspects of military satellite systems;
- Contributing to the design of the Royal Navy’s new frigates;
- Supporting the security work for the Royal Navy’s new submarine design; and
- Security of nuclear energy sites.
In addition to your cyber skills, we will equip you with project management skills so you can manage your own projects as you progress through your career.
What you’ll need?
We are looking for ambitious, intelligent and inquisitive individuals, who can solve challenging IA and Security problems. You will have a related Masters or Undergraduate degree in a relevant area ideally with a significant emphasis on system security, however, you will also be considered if you have another degree but demonstrate a significant passion to follow a career in IA and Security.
As this is a Graduate position experience is not essential, but you will be expected to demonstrate the importance of IA and Security and how this relates to your career plans. Through our selection process you will be able to demonstrate capability and potential which will stand you in good stead as you embark on your career in IA and Security. This includes:
- Cyber and Risk Management Knowledge. You demonstrate a broad understanding of the domain and are able to explore how this can be used in the workplace.
- Interpersonal skills. You engage with colleagues and clients and take an interest in ideas and perspectives of others.
- Communication skills. You are confident when speaking and can clearly explain complex technical matters verbally and in writing.
