At Frazer-Nash we like our work to have an impact on the world around us such as meeting the challenges of NetZero 2050; maintaining energy supply, providing sustainable mobility; staying secure; and, improving the health and well-being of the world’s population.
We do this by working closely with our clients, providing technical advice to improve their products, operations and businesses.
Team Information
In this role, you’ll be part of one of our Asset Integrity teams. In this discipline, you will be using your skills to understand the strength, life, and dynamics of mechanical components, systems, and facilities.
You will work on projects throughout their lifecycle from understanding novel concepts and assuring new products, through the safe ongoing operation of equipment, to life extension, and, ultimately, decommissioning at end-of-life.
Our teams work across industrial sectors and at any one time you could be working on projects covering renewable energy generation, new fusion energy generating technologies, Royal Navy ships, and future transport solutions.
Community and culture are very important to us, and you will join a friendly and open team with a wealth of experiences, from those who may be a year or two ahead of you in their careers to our world class principal consultants with their decades of know-how and experience to share.
We also know that delivering technical projects is only part of your role, so you’ll have opportunity to develop new tools and techniques, build client relationships, work on commercial proposals and share your work at international conferences and journals. There’s much more too.
What you’ll be doing at Frazer-Nash?
Your fundamental understanding of strength of materials, structural mechanics and dynamics will be put to the test every day as you seek to gain insight into our clients’ challenges.
You will use this understanding to shape the solutions we provide, applying start-of-the-art Finite Element analysis techniques and bespoke analytical methods, developing measurement systems to gain valuable information on real-world operations, or pioneering data science and machine learning methods to extract even more insight.
You will be responsible for your own work from day one but working as part of a client-facing project delivery team. As you gain experience you will begin to take responsibility for your own projects which will grow in size and complexity as you progress, and in future years you will work towards our most senior project governance roles.
From time-to-time there will also be the opportunity to support our clients working on site either local to your office, elsewhere in the UK or perhaps even abroad. These opportunities offer the potential to experience some large and internationally important projects up close and through a new lens.
