Frontier is pleased to confirm that we will be offering two placements for 2023 – 2024. The placements will commence in July 2023 for a period of 12 months. The successful student will have the unique opportunity to work within three key areas of the Frontier business.
The rotations will be the same for both but in different orders.

Placement details
Grain Administration – July 2023 to Oct 2023
Role: Grain Administration Assistant – Witham St Hughs.
Day one
Customer Finance and Administration induction including a general business overview, Oxbury Bank, key stakeholder mapping for the department and business and accounting systems.
Grain administration
- Processing grain movement data
- Resolution of missing weights including contacting Hauliers and resolving issues
- Reconciliation of Stocks
- Reconciliation and administration of Customer queries including liaison with internal and external stakeholders
- Import/export invoicing
- An opportunity to understand how other roles within Frontier connect into Grain Administration, including Grain Trading, Planning and Forwarding
Customer Finance - Accounts Payable – Oct 2023 to Dec 2023
Role: Accounts Payable Assistant - Witham St Hughs, Lincolnshire.
Accounts payable
- Preparation and coding of admin supplier invoices
- Accurately process admin invoices to the accounting system
- Prepare and process payment runs for Farm, Consumer and Admin Suppliers
- Monitor and action the team email inbox
- Reconciliation of queries including liaison with internal and external stakeholders
- Visit to Crop Production store at Wickenby site
Role: Customer Finance Administration and Credit Control Assistant - Witham St Hughs, Lincolnshire.
Customer Finance - Administration & Credit Control – Jan 2024 to June 2024
Customer Finance Admin
- Ensure new and amended Customer and Supplier data is noted in the relevant systems in accordance with legal requirements and company procedures
- Overview of Red Tractor (Food Chain Assurance Scheme) and the relationship with Frontier
- Processing assurance data for all regulatory bodies
- Ensure data complies with GDPR regulations
Cashiering
- Preparation of customer self-billing invoices
- Daily allocation of payments into Frontier
- Liaise with Credit Controllers to reconcile payments and any Customer/Consumer queries
- Liaise with treasury to ensure payments are banked on time and any queries are resolved in a timely manner
Credit control
- To be responsible for cash collection from a specified group of customers, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any queries
- Build relationships with customers facilitating the ongoing supply of inputs and negotiating payment plans where required
- Provide, ad hoc reports, admin support for internal stores, and supply customer service of a very high standard
- Administer finance agreements within the designated area
Oxbury Bank
- Ensuring correct customer details are passed to Oxbury within GDPR parameters
- Facilitation of any campaign communications and queries as required
- Weekly and ad-hoc reporting on current referral figures
- Resolving invoice queries via banking dashboard
- Liaising with Oxbury regarding unpaid customer invoices
Understanding Customer Finance stakeholders
- Various opportunities to experience how other roles within Frontier connect with Customer Finance, including A Day in the life of a Farm Trader or Agronomist, A visit to our Crop Production store at Wickenby, A Day at one of our Trial sites
