    Frontier is the UK's leading crop inputs and grain marketing business, recognised for its close customer relationships with farmers and grain consumers and its successful management of the whole arable supply chain.

    We will be offering a placement within our marketing team for 2023 – 2024. The placement will commence in July 2023 for a period of 12 months.

    We are a full-service in-house marketing team and the successful student will have opportunity to experience working on varied projects covering multiple marketing disciplines within our Marketing function.

    The Role

    Based at Witham St Hughes (between Newark and Lincoln) at least two days a week, the rest of the week home based. The role is working in a small in-house team and will be chiefly split 50/50 between communications and customer marketing activity.

    Communications

    • Working with the Head of Communications, you will assist with the creation and execution of internal communications and employer brand campaigns. This includes creating online content, promotional materials, website and social media activity, in-house video production and company literature
    • Working with key stakeholders from across the business, such as our HR and Operations teams, to generate communications that enhance the company’s brand as an employer
    • Supporting major projects such as our employee engagement survey, sustainability initiative and introduction of new digital communications systems such as corporate website and intranet.
    • Opportunity to get involved with other projects as required by the wider communications team and business.

    Customer Marketing

    • Assisting the Head of Customer Marketing and wider team with the creation and execution of external marketing campaigns. This includes creating email marketing, direct mail, invitations and promotional materials
    • Production of printed material including budgeting and artwork management
    • Organisation of events, including exhibitions and conferences, to include attendance where necessary.

    Personal Requirements

    We are looking for students studying for a marketing or PR/communications degree who have confidence, enthusiasm, and initiative to inspire others and strive for innovation and change.

    With a proactive nature, you will be required to build effective working relationships inside and outside the business.

    In a rapidly changing environment, you must be ready to work hard, take on new challenges and turn your ideas into reality.

    With support from directors, managers, and colleagues you will be expected to gain a quick understanding of our business environment and add value to our organisation. You will be actively encouraged to push boundaries and inspire new ideas and visions for the future.
