    Frontier is the UK's leading crop inputs and grain marketing business, recognised for its close customer relationships with farmers and grain consumers and its successful management of the whole arable supply chain.

    Frontier is pleased to confirm that we will be offering a placement for 2024 – 2025. The placement will commence in July 2024 for a period of 12 months. The successful student will have the unique opportunity to work in key areas of the Frontier business in our sustainable crop production team.

    Placement details

    This placement, titled sustainability has an overarching link with commercial teams, such as Agronomy and Trading. The placement will involve opportunities throughout the year to learn more about this link and experience these areas of Frontier and how they depend on and interact with each other for the customer.

    Sustainable Crop Production

    Technical Support, based at Sandy, Bedfordshire and travelling to sites in England will be required on occasion. Full role training plus mentoring support throughout the year from a member of the HR team.

    • Work as part of the Sustainable Crop Production team within commercial and technical functions, including agronomy, as well as knowledge exchange
    • Assist with administrative tasks on commercial projects, including liaising with partner farms to collect data, data inputting for carbon calculators and record keeping and organisation
    • Assistance with organisation of meetings, events and workshops
    • Desk based research of sustainability related topics, collating and feeding back findings
    • Conduct market research to explore commercial opportunities around sustainability related subjects such as carbon markets and the use of biostimulants
    • Assist with internal and external knowledge exchange

    Travel to sites and events will be part of this role therefore a full driving licence is a must.

    The assessment centre for this placement opportunity will be 12 th December 2023 and will be at a venue, near or in Lincoln, Lincolnshire.
