The role

Fugro’s world class Geotechnical Core Logging Laboratory is now recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join its team based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. The laboratory uses state of the art equipment to analyse soil and rock samples from our projects around the world. Your role will be to perform these laboratory tests and process test results in accordance with quality standards. You will also be required to assist with the maintenance of the core logging facility, consumables, equipment inventory, and calibration database.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for proven candidates who are versatile, reliable, and efficient at managing complex projects. We require first class communicators that adopt a proactive and systematic approach with a competitive attitude, along with:

  • BSc Geology or Earth Science or a related discipline.
  • Soil and Rock Core Logging experience is desirable for this role.
  • Confidence to engage with individuals at all levels.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language (verbal and written)
