The International circulation team at Marketforce is responsible for planning and executing the retail development strategy across all of Future’s B2C magazine and bookazine print brands in the USA, Australia, and key export markets. The bookazine team also manages the UK retail of bookazine titles in addition to export markets. This involves the management of the issue planning, print order and allocations process and building retail development plans by title to grow Future’s newstrade revenues. We ensure that our brands are best represented at retail and that our objectives support the achievement of newstrade sales revenue and efficiency targets.
The role
Reporting to the Operations Hub Team Leader with a dotted line to the Head of Future International & Bookazines, this role plays a vital support function providing a high level of administration and process management of Future’s fastest growing area of print publishing.
Working closely with the Marketforce operations, supplyworks and retail national accounts teams to ensure accurate schedule set up, clear communication of promotional plans and target supply levels, and issue planning and scheduling. Working to agreed production deadlines, the role is responsible for ensuring that final supply levels are in line with expectations and that the correct print order supply requirements are communicated to the production team.
The job requires strong attention to detail, effective commercial skills, the ability to prioritise and organise effectively, and the ability to work to Marketforce, production, and retailer deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Issue set up in Orion in line with the latest publishing schedule.
- Accurate maintenance of Orion bar code, cover price, Series title links and on sale date information.
- Creation and communication of the monthly target supply grid for use by the allocations team.
- Manage the input of promotions into SPS and oversee the allocations process of UK supplies.
- Review final supply figures against targets and agree changes with the management team.
- Liaise with the Marketforce Retail team to provide front covers, and update retailer promotion grids to reflect agreed title promotions. .
- Ensure processing of any promotional invoices via concur and check accuracy against the promotional tracker.
- Ensure newstrade supply figures in the print order are reviewed against expectations in Orion in line with Production deadlines and liaise with Production managers to ensure thorough communication of issue plans and versions.
- Provide support to the wider magazine team for Future Export magazine distribution.

- A working knowledge of google / MS office applications - sheets/excel; slides/ powerpoint.
- The ability to work across teams and coordinate activity across relevant departments.
- To be able to manage own deadlines, as well as working as part of a wider team.

The expected range for this role is £24,000 - £24,000
This is a Hybrid role from our Central Cardiff Office, working three days from the office, two from home
