Are you a motivated and ambitious individual looking to kick-start your career in business development? We are seeking a Trainee Business Development Executive to join our dynamic team. As a Trainee Business Development Executive, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business growth by assisting with new business tenders, report writing, managing client management systems, and working with and progressing new business opportunities with appropriate support. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn from experienced professionals in the field.
This is a remote working role with the expectation to come to the Chelmsford office once a month.
How you'll make an impact
- Support the business development team by handling new business procurement tenders.
- Assist in report writing and analysis to identify potential areas for business growth.
- Update and maintain customer relationship management (CRM) systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Shadow senior executives to learn about effective business development strategies and techniques.
- Attend client meetings, either virtually via Teams or occasionally in-person, to gain exposure to client interactions and understand their needs.
- Interact with warm leads and prospects to build relationships and convert them into potential clients.
About you
- A recent Graduate or School Leaver who is looking for an entry level position in insurance broking.
- Prior experience within a customer service or sales role is beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and time management abilities.
- Strong drive to progress into a Business Development role in the future.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Salesforce exposure is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
