An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Billing Analyst to join our team on a permanent basis. This role is based in our London office with flexibility to work from home.

Gamma is a leading supplier of Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) in the UK, German, Spanish, Polish, and Dutch business markets.  It is AIM listed and employs 1750 people. With a range of UCaaS, Mobile, and Connectivity services, Gamma provides robust and secure solutions that enable organisations to communicate, collaborate and offer a better customer experience.

Gamma’s largest market is in the UK where the company’s network-based services are supplied to SME, Public Sector, and Enterprise markets through a network of 1000 channel partners and its own direct sales and support capabilities.  In addition, Gamma owns Exactive, a Unified Communications specialist and Microsoft Teams Voice Partner.

In 2021 Gamma acquired Mission Labs, a well-established UCaaS technology business that has built a reputation for creating technologically advanced solutions and delivering great service to its customers and partners. The acquisition will enable Gamma to enhance and expand its cloud contact centre (CCaaS) technology as well as accelerating its digital channel strategy.

The role is in our UK billing function. Billing is a vital and very complicated part of telecoms - our team is an integral part of Gamma’s business moving into the 21st century.

    What we do

Our work is a mixture of day-to-day activities and project work. For a few days each month the focus is on executing the monthly billing process, however a lot of our time is spent on improving those processes, adding to them to incorporate new products and services, investigating anomalies in their outputs and resolving them. We see the process from start to finish.

And an essential part of our work is interacting with customers, finance and sales teams and answering their questions. We are also a key stakeholder in reviewing financial performance and reporting it to the rest of the business, having a direct input into the way the business is run at the highest levels.

The business uses our data to drive decision making so our objective is to give them complete confidence in what we provide.

    What you’ll learn

No experience of telecoms is required - we will teach you all you need to know. Training is on-the-job and informal. You will learn a range of transferrable skills, particularly in handling large volumes of transaction data and extracting commercial significance from it.

The experience we offer is a great start for someone looking to build a career in a financial environment. To underline this, we’re keen to offer training for a professional finance qualification (CIMA or ACCA). However, if these paths do not interest you, there is scope to embark on other business relevant qualifications.

    What we want

    • We need people who enjoy mixing with others. Our success depends on the ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers alike.
    • Problem solving is a huge part of what we do. We’re constantly introducing new products and improving our systems. We want people who will relish that kind of work.
    • We’re seeking people who will enjoy building up their understanding of complex systems.
    • You will need to be able to demonstrate an interest in systems. You should already be proficient in Excel and whilst it’s not essential, experience of databases and SQL is an advantage.
    • The role is a challenging one – we need you to have at least 136 UCAS points from your top 3 A level grades and a 2:1 (or predicted) from a top university, preferably in a Science/ Maths/ Engineering discipline.
    • We want enthusiastic people with hobbies and interests that keep the working day fascinating so tell us a bit about your passions or extra-curricular activities. Work and academics isn’t everything in life, we want to know you.
