    Join Gateley Global as a Graduate Consultant and play a key part in helping businesses thrive on an international scale.

    This exciting opportunity puts you at the forefront of attracting, growing, and retaining both foreign companies establishing in the UK and UK companies expanding abroad. You'll be instrumental in every stage of the client journey, from initial engagement to ongoing support.

    In this role, you'll have responsibility from day 1.

    You'll gain hands-on experience by

    • Driving business growth through marketing and business development activities, helping to win new clients and guide them through our sales pipeline.
    • Taking on early responsibility in delivering billable services, including market entry support and bespoke projects tailored to client needs.
    • Collaborating with our Gateley colleagues to provide comprehensive client services and identify cross-selling opportunities.
    • Providing exceptional aftercare to existing clients, uncovering new avenues for growth for both Gateley Global and Gateley.

    Beyond client work, you'll also assist with preparing tenders for large-scale project delivery, such as government programs. If Gateley Global is successful in winning these tenders, you'll be actively involved in delivering those programs by assisting with program management, delivering specific services within the project, or providing billable services.

    • New market entry, providing corporate consultancy to companies looking to expand into new markets.
    • Project management and delivery of public sector and government funded programmes, delivering business growth, start-up and scale up support and international trade and investment initiatives Forward thinking and straight talking, our approach is to find solutions to the problems that our clients face.

    The person

    • You must be able to start with us by the latest of 1st September 2025

    Required attributes and skills

    • A degree in economics, business, policy or related field.
    • Business analysis/acumen skills and experience working with business clients
    • An understanding of the key drivers of domestic/international business expansion
    • A cooperative and pro-active team player that is also comfortable working on individual tasks
    • Experience as part of a project/program management team
    • Agile and flexible approach to work to support customers, management, and stakeholders
    • A desire to develop business development and stakeholder management skills
    • Ability to think creatively to solve problems
    • Excellent time management and communication skills
    • Confident using MS Teams (and other video conferencing software), MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and IT management tools.

    Desired attributes and skills

    • 1 - 2 years professional experience working with business clients or within a financial, professional or consulting firm Experience in supporting businesses in location management and market entry and/or inward investment and economic development experience Relationships with complimentary professional service providers, and local government and regional development bodies Complimentary professional qualifications (or aspiring towards attaining professional qualifications) Experience dealing with international markets Multi-lingual skills
