    What to expect

    Working full-time from our Dumfries office, your primary responsibility is to provide support to the Dumfries Manufacturing Development and Continuous Improvement department involved principally in the manufacture of synchronous power transmission belt products for the Automotive and Industrial markets. The job will involve:

    • Providing technical support to manufacturing in respect to short term problem solving and product/process development.
    • Supporting various Continuous Improvement and Product / Process Engineering projects from inception to serial production
    • Implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and cost efficiency programs.
    • Must be certain that all Company quality guidelines, all ISO and QS standards are followed at all times.

    About you

    • Educated to HNC/D or Degree level (or equivalent) in a Material or Chemical Engineering discipline.
    • It would be beneficial to have experience in the manufacture of Rubber or Polyurethane products.
    • This role could suit a graduate level candidate
    • Professional verbal and written communications for both internal and external customers.
    • Sound ability to problem solve logically.
    • Proficient in all Microsoft software packages.
