We are looking to hire a Chemical Engineering graduate on a 12-month temporary contract. This is a fantastic chance for a recent graduate looking to start a career in life sciences, with a global company that offers hands on lab experience, full training and the chance to progress into multiple career paths.
What you’ll do
- Support basic complexity internal test work in support of R&D, NPI, NPD, QC release testing, etc.. – as required by management
- Review job request, relevant MSDS and fully understand requirements is in accordance with laboratory SOPs, with minimal guidance
- Ensure timelines and discuss schedule conflicts or modifications with laboratory management (Project Manager, where necessary)
- Operate, understand and be able to troubleshoot all equipment/instrumentation necessary to support testing, with minimal guidance
- Ensure test work is completed according to laboratory request requirements, with minimal guidance
- Ensure raw data is recorded into laboratory notebook (or similar). Immediately notify laboratory management of any test delays, problems or deviations
- Ensure test equipment and work area are disassembled and clean as needed with minimal guidance
Who you are
- Degree or equivalent in Chemistry/Chemical engineering or the equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories and concepts.
- Skilled in laboratory techniques and measurement methods.
- Ability to perform test work and execute work instructions.
- Application of GLP as appropriate and familiar with GMP requirements
- Provide scientific analysis of data (able to apply a basic knowledge of scientific principles)
