    The role

    The Data & Business Analyst is responsible for the building and maintaining of data reporting functionality within the internal reporting systems and processes.They are responsible for transforming and improving existing reports, documenting procedures, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and finding solutions to enhance business performance and efficiency, with a focus on automation.

    The Data & Business Analyst operates within the BJBG Change Team and there is an expectation to assist and engage in ongoing Change & Operational Projects. This could range from developing in-house technical solutions, to assisting with the running of strategic projects.This role offers an exciting opportunity to potential candidates, a competitive salary, the ability to undertake continued professional development and certification in relevant technologies and a strong path for career progression.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the timely delivery of accurate and relevant data reporting for various business units.
    • Manage the schedule of reports and prioritise tasks according to business needs and deadlines.
    • Employ digital skills to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
    • Work with the Global Data Community to establish connections & achieve access to a consolidated data platform.
    • Use of strong mathematical skills to analyse and manipulate data sets, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
    • Analyse and interpret data to provide valuable insights for business decision-making.
    • Ensure relevant management information is provided to various committees & boards as needed.
    • Maintain and update written procedures for recurring reports and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
    • Work within the Change Team to identify opportunities for streamlining and automating business processes and implement scalable solutions.
    • Work with business units to understand their reporting needs and assist them in finding solutions using data analysis and modelling techniques.
    • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences and present your findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.
    • Support client services and process owners in rollout, review, and ongoing process improvement of business and regulatory initiatives.
    • Support process owners in their usage of key business tools and applications.

    Professional and technical

    • A-levels or undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics).
    • Proficient in using digital tools and software for data analysis (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python).
    • Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical mindset.
    • Good problem-solving, data and decision-making skills.
