    We are opening a new 12 months fixed term position for a postgraduate internship in the area of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

    About the work

    We require for a Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence intern. This role will include the study of machine learning techniques for our engineering applications, under the direction of our team members. The scope of work is expected to be, but not limited to

    • Perform literature search on mathematical and statistical modelling, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence.
    • Methods development
      • The candidate is expected to perform methods reviews to improve the current regression and classification modelling capabilities already implemented in our in-house tool.
      • Develop tools and processes, working in collaboration with our team members and external academic partners.
    • Methods application
      • Support of application of relevant methods to various engineering projects

    Requirement

    • Postgraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning or Data Science.
    • Experience in developing Machine Learning and Neural Network models.
    • Experience with deep learning framework such as PyTorch or Keras.
    • Strong Python programming skills.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Good, adaptable team worker, eager to learn and develop.
    • Ability and confidence to work independently.
    • Existing visa/permit to work in UK.

    • Duration: Up to 12 months
    • Location: Work will be based at GE Vernova Power, Rugby, Warwickshire. CV21 1BD (remote working will be an option).
    • Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
    • Holiday: 2 days per month
    • Payment: Based on GE internship salary scale
