placement is available within the Automated Assembly, Inspection and Metrology team. The successful candidate will be based at our world leading, state-of-the-art technology research and development facility in Bristol - the Global Technology Centre (GTC). On site we conduct research on manufacturing process development and carry out high rate representative manufacture to develop sustainable aerospace technology of the future. - Understanding the key assembly requirements for complex civil airframe components
- Working closely with suppliers to spec, procure and test metrology systems
- Integrate the selected metrology systems into the existing production line
- Automate the processing of metrology data and implement statistical process control (SPC)
