The role
IES offers unparalleled opportunities to build and progress a career in Digital Construction through Building Simulation. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate (Engineering, Architecture & Environmental) who is looking to develop both personally and professionally within a business recognised globally as being at the forefront of Sustainability & Net Zero.
The successful candidates will participate in our structured two-year Graduate Scheme programme where they will be exposed to a variety of different teams and areas of the company (UK IESVE) gaining insights into a variety of different tasks as part of our business development team, consultancy, training and technical support services.
You will have the opportunity to work on challenging, high-profile projects and will be given the encouragement and support to challenge yourself and develop your career, as part of a unique team.
In addition, successful candidates will be supported to become skilled in Building Performance Modelling (IESVE), exposed to the latest industry trends, interact with some of the highest profiled Architectural and Engineering practices, given the opportunity to study for Energy Assessor certification, and mentored towards CIBSE Membership.
The candidate

Essential
- Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. building services engineering, architectural, environmental)
- An understanding in the field of sustainable building design, such as energy modelling, energy auditing, low energy design, retrofits or retro-commissioning.
- Enthusiasm to take responsibility for own work and to ensure every job is done to the highest level while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Clear and confident communications skills
Desirable
- Experience of working in a customer services or customer focussed environment, ideally where have communicated directly with customers.
- Experience with the IESVE software
