    Global Supply Chain (GSC) is the group within GSK that is responsible for making and supplying medicines and vaccines across the globe. At our manufacturing sites we produce over 2.3 billion medication packs and vaccines doses to 90% of the world's countries.

    About the role

    An opportunity exists for candidates with a business background to work alongside a team to help deliver business improvement and communication projects. In addition to this, opportunities will arise to develop in coaching, Continuous Improvement, programme management and communication processes, which can be readily transferable to any other job.

    You will learn how to manage a project and work with a team effectively to deliver a successful outcome. The role ranges from learning about manufacturing to gaining knowledge surrounding the ‘people’ side of business and to supporting infrastructure projects and supporting business functions.

    You will be applying the skills you already have learnt at university and developing new skills such as team working, effective communication and time management. You will work with and learn from an experienced, multi-disciplined team. They will coach and mentor you during your year to help you achieve your potential.

    Who are we looking for?

    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Good Microsoft Excel and Word skills
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to interact with people at all levels in the organisation
    • Ability to work on your own initiate to drive improvements and projects
    • Use of Power BI software is preferred but not essential as training will be available
    • Ability to demonstrate qualities aligned with GSK Culture.

    Role/Location: GSK House (London)

    Based in our global headquarters in Brentford London, the GSC Engineering & EHS team deliver value by providing expertise to optimise GSK’s manufacturing assets, capital portfolio and build capabilities that support the safe and effective operation of our facilities while protecting the safety and well-being of our people. We have a role for a placement student within our facilities management team

    The successful candidates will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of business functions and infrastructure projects, addressing areas such as developing guidelines for complementary workers and associated training, building intranet sites and supporting sustainability projects. You will develop project and time management skills. You will have the opportunity to connect with people at high levels in the organisation and have an exposure to external suppliers.

    This role will particularly suit a highly organised individual with strong written and verbal communication skills, with a need to drive for results, a concern for impact and an ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously when suitably trained.
