Within the Global Supply Chain business (GSC), our dedicated teams are responsible for manufacturing and distributing medicines and vaccines worldwide. They oversee every stage of production, from ensuring the creation of high-quality products at our manufacturing sites to developing effective supply forecasting and managing regulatory inspections—all powered by digital, data, and analytics.

    What will you do?  

    As a Chemical Engineering graduate, you can expect to develop your knowledge and gain experience in a number of these areas: 

    • Various types of bulk manufacturing including tablet manufacturing, sterile manufacturing and primary manufacturing within pharmaceuticals.  
    • A range of unit operations including distillation, crystallisation, granulation, and compression  
    • Identifying opportunities for safety and environmental improvements 
    • Troubleshooting production problems in a manufacturing facility  
    • Design, installation, commissioning & validation of new processes & equipment  
    • New Product Introduction and Technology transfer  
    • Process automation and new technologies e.g. data analytics, AI, Smart and continuous manufacturing  
    • Process Safety including hazard identification and risk assessments  
    • Process troubleshooting and root cause analysis  
    • Deliver business critical projects including yield and productivity improvement initiatives  

       What are we looking for?  

    • Technical aptitude, a passion for engineering, and a keen interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing  
    • A mindset focused on continuous improvement and growth, along with strong interpersonal skills and a positive approach  
    • The ability to listen, learn, and a genuine desire to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives through high-quality work  
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, coupled with a collaborative approach to teamwork  
    • Self-motivation, proactiveness, and a strong eagerness for development and learning  
    • Analytical, organized, and process-driven, with exceptional attention to detail  
    • High adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and embrace change  

    Education required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, or related IChemE accredited degrees with relevant Chemical Engineering modules. Graduation by August 2025. 

    Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English 

    Other requirements: Willingness to be geographically mobile (domestic) throughout rotations  

    Expected Start date: September 2025
