As a part of your placement year (July 2022) in the Pharma Supply Chain Analytics & Insights team, you will be embedded in the business helping drive value from our data.
What you will do
You role may include:
- Developing new reports and insights for the business.
- On-demand data analysis and reporting to support our internal customers.
- Working with internal customers like franchise planning from around the world to drive value and insights from our supply chain.
- Highlighting improvement opportunities in inventory management and partnering with the planning organisation for value delivery, and as you become more experienced, actually leading and delivering the projects
- Building strong relationships within key business functions
- Leading a project to review out current analytical tools and recommending a future forward path
- Exposure to how cutting-edge technology and analytics is changing our global supply chain.
You will be applying the skills you already have and developing new skills of your choice which could include; data analysis, data science, power BI, advanced excel along with softer skills like team working, problem solving and building relationships. You will work with and learn from an experienced team, who will coach and mentor you during your year to help you achieve your potential.
What you will need
- To be well-organised and a team player
- Good Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word skills
- Highly numeracy/accuracy skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiate to drive improvements and an agile learner
- Interest in supply chain and analytics
- Statistical analysis experience or use of Power BI (nice to have but not essential)
- Ability to demonstrate qualities aligned with GSK Values and Expectations.
Degree Requirements
Must be studying an undergraduate degree in a STEM related subject, engineering, maths, data science, life science, computer-related, etc.
You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You will be expected to provide evidence from your university to show you will be an undergraduate student for the duration of the placement year.
