    Over three years and three rotations, our Future Leaders Graduate Programme will challenge and support you to grow professionally and personally. You’ll receive a generous development budget to accelerate your learning. You’ll get to meet senior leaders and network with other graduates from across GSK.     What will you do?

    • Apply problem solving every day in an exciting and challenging role, executing your passion for protecting worker health and the environment
    • Gain hands-on knowledge and experience of EHS, carrying out programmes of work, communications, behaviour- based safety and technical projects to keep our people, their families, and the community healthy and safe.
    • Through your work assignments both as an individual and part of a team, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our manufacturing, R&D sites & factories, and global support functions meet environment laws and regulations, building trust with our employees, customers & patients
    • Learn how to create & implement effective Risk Assessments and supporting risk management decision-making
    • Investigate and examine our workplace for hazards and potential danger, recommending and implementing strategies for continuous improvement
    • Use data for decision making; introduce new technologies and techniques to anticipate and control potentially dangerous situations.
    • Areas of work could include: health and safety, air quality, chemical exposure, occupational disease, hazardous agents, hazardous waste management and emergency response planning
    • Opportunity to work with senior managers and leaders in EHS and associated areas
    • Experience a breadth of EHS Tech Specialisms e.g. Process Safety, Ergonomics, Fire Safety; occupational hygiene; environmental management
    • Opportunities to develop and lead EHSS projects in manufacturing/R&D/Support Functions
    • Work towards internationally recognised EHS Qualification (e.g. NEBOSH) 

    You’ll need:

    • To have a science-related degree (preferred)

    • To be analytical and process-driven with excellent attention to detail.
    • A genuine interest in the healthcare industry

    Education required:  BSc degree in Science-related discipline e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Geography, Occupational Hygiene preferred (Modules may include - Ergonomics, risk management, environmental, occupational hygiene) Graduation by Spring/Summer 2022.

    Our Future Leaders programme is designed to accelerate the development of graduates who don’t have significant experience in the area to which they’re applying. Of course, many graduates who join the program have worked while studying or after graduation. If you’ve already worked in a professional role in your sector, you’re welcome to apply, but you may also want to look at direct entry roles in our businesses.
