Our approach to R&D focuses on science related to the prevention and treatment of disease with vaccines, specialty and general medicines. We focus on science of the immune system, human genetics and advanced technologies to impact health at scale. Our pipeline currently comprises of more than 60 vaccines and medicines across four core therapeutic areas including oncology, infectious diseases, immunology / respiratory and HIV. Managed Access and Supported Studies teams are part of the Oncology Global Medical Affairs (GMA) department. The Managed Access team is responsible for global compassionate use programs (providing medicines that are not yet available in the country to patients with serious or life-threatening illnesses who have no other suitable treatment options).
This role will work with a very supportive GSK team that is ambitious for patients. You’ll be providing operational support to health care professionals around the world ensuring GSK’s medicines arrive at their institutions as quickly as possible. You will learn about the country specific regulatory rules which determine how patients are treated with medicines that are not yet available in their country. You will also learn how GSK forecasts, prepares, stores and distributes our medicines specifically for treating patients compassionately.
If successful, you will gain experience in a growing area within pharmaceutical industry. You’ll also have the satisfaction of knowing that you have been part of a team directly helping physicians and patients.
Projects that you will work on will be well defined and allow you to gain experience in different parts of Global Oncology Medical Affairs department, with the focus on compassionate use programs and supported studies.
Responsibilities
- Operational support for oncology compassionate use programs and non-GSK sponsored clinical trials
- Support the development and archiving of program related documents
- Attends program related meetings and captures minutes
- Provides status update reports on programs
- Together with the program lead, support planning, forecasting and management of clinical supply
- Monitors vendor shipments and tracks inventory at both the depot and site level
- Supports other innovative projects initiated by managed access team
Who are we looking for?
- An interest in a career in Health Sciences or Pharmaceutical Industry
- A proven ability and willingness to work with a high level of integrity, organization, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A self-motivated, assertive, and self-confident individual with the ability to act with urgency and passion
- Flexible, resourceful, creative, enthusiastic, and results oriented with a little bit of fun thrown in
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a very supportive team

- A salary of £21,000 plus a bonus (non-GSK House) or £22,500 plus a bonus (GSK House)
