    Our approach to R&D focuses on science related to the prevention and treatment of disease with vaccines, specialty and general medicines. We focus on science of the immune system, human genetics and advanced technologies to impact health at scale. Our pipeline currently comprises of more than 60 vaccines and medicines across four core therapeutic areas including oncology, infectious diseases, immunology / respiratory and HIV.     As the Process Analytical Technologies (PAT) Engineer you will be involved with various unit operations such as continuous direct compression and high shear wet granulation to implement process analytical technologies into the process to optimise quality via in process controls. You will also be involved in data analysis via chemometric techniques, data modelling and will be expected to deliver results to key stakeholders.

    You should have a desire to modernise automation of data from collection to storage to help optimise manufacturing processes for oral solid dose products. Also, you will be working as part of a OnePharma team, flexing their resource accordingly between Research & Development and Manufacturing sites.

    Key responsibilities

    • Collect data using a variety of process analytical technologies to support process development and design such as the use of NIR for in process control
    • Define requirements for data connectivity across multiple automation and data platforms to enable smart manufacturing / Industry 4.0
    • Analyse data from manufacturing processes using data analytics and machine learning techniques to provide insights for process monitoring, control, and simulation
    • Liaise, where necessary, with key stakeholders such as process engineers, data modellers, analytical scientists, and quality assurance
    • To deliver the above in a precise and timely manner, adhering to safety and quality expectations
