Education required: To apply for this placement, you must be:
Currently studying an any Undergraduate Degree in Degree in Science or Engineering.
Other requirements: You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You must be enrolled at a UK (United Kingdom) or ROI (Republic of Ireland) university for the duration of your placement.
If you have already graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree and are currently studying a postgraduate Masters, you are not eligible for this programme.
Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English
Expected Start date: September 2024
Duration: 1 year (approximately)
Salary: A salary of £21,400 plus a bonus

Process Engineering
The Process Engineer will apply knowledge on unit operations, process engineering and modelling to support the development, scale-up and manufacture of drug products in development and during product lifecycle management. Drive process understanding, capability and control improvement projects to support the site strategy, delivering safe, compliant and robust operations. Collaborative working for ensuring optimized and thoroughly understood drug product manufacturing platforms are in place across lab, pilot and commercial scale
Key Responsibilities:
- To work as part of a multi-disciplinary development team, liaising efficiently with Formulators, Engineers and Scientists, to deliver the work packages required.
- To make innovative contributions to the department by providing experimental data, technical insight and modelling of data to solve complex process development problems
- The job holder may act as an expert in specific unit operations. As such, they may be expected to master a body of knowledge for that unit operation and use this to act as the functional expert in the department.
- To advance scientific understanding and improve current ways of working in field of expertise by actively participating to internal or external technical focus networks.
- To enable sound decisions by your influence in matrix teams, through depth of technical knowledge and effective communication.
- To deliver the above in a precise and timely manner, adhering to safety and quality expectations.
- Demonstrate innovative thinking and be able to drive the development of the Process Engineering discipline.
