    Are you developing an interest in, or already have a passion for, graphic design? Have some basic experience in Adobe Creative Suite? Would you like to have experience working within a design team in a fast-paced advertising agency?

    The role

    We’re looking for someone who has an eye for creativity to join as a paid, 4-week summer intern. You might be studying graphic design at college or have to formal training at all. Maybe you design logos for local businesses or flyers for your mates band. Or maybe you just want to turn a side hustle into a new career path. We want applicants from all backgrounds and a willingness to learn and get stuck in.

    What you'll do

    As an intern, you'll be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

    • Supporting the team, creating designs for client campaigns.
    • Researching current design trends and how we can apply them to client work.
    • Assisting the team with creative ideas.
    • Participating in team meetings and contributing to creative discussions.
    • Creating print and digital design content, both for clients and Golley Slater.

    This is a paid internship, and the successful candidate will also receive valuable training an mentorship from our experienced design team, as well as exposure to working with video, strategy, media and social media teams, and high-profile clients.

    We are a leading marketing communications agency based in Cardiff, Leeds, and Circencester. This internship will be based in our Cardiff office working on a range of campaigns in sectors including health, education, transport, tourism, finance and more. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to gain hands-on experience within the advertising industry.

    How to apply?

    To help remove one of the usual barriers to the application process we are not asking for a CV. But what we do want from you is a piece of design based on the theme ‘curiosity’ presented in a social media story size of 1080 x 1920px. There are no right or wrong answers for the piece of design you create, any medium and approach is welcome. Accompanying this a 100 – 500 word explanation of why you should be our summer intern

    This will allow us to choose the applicant based on your creativity. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced team of designers, assisting with the creation of eye-catching designs and concepts for our wide range of clients.

    We will invite our favourite applications for an interview where we would like to see examples of other work you've designed. This could be a portfolio, website, or just photos or objects that you've created. The internship will take place between Monday 1st July - Friday 26th July.
