We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Graduate Marketing Executive with a passion for marketing, communications, and brand management to join our team. Under the management of the Head of Marketing, you will actively contribute to the delivery of marketing activities and projects.
Your role will involve planning, creating, and delivering marketing communications to our target audiences in local and central government, police, and healthcare sectors. Collaborating closely with various departments including Sales, Creative, and Client Success, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating GOSS's marketing efforts.
What you will do
This role offers a dynamic opportunity for a recent graduate or final-year undergraduate to play an integral role in shaping GOSS's marketing strategies. As part of this position, you will have the chance to make significant contributions towards our marketing endeavours and your responsibilities will include:
- Marketing communications and campaigns - You will be required to assist the Head of Marketing, in planning communications and campaigns, brainstorming new ideas, overseeing GOSS's social media presence, and executing campaigns across multiple marketing channels to engage both existing and potential clients.
- Marketing activity analysis and reporting - You will analyse GOSS's marketing activities and prepare monthly reports for the Head of Marketing. You will use these insights to recommend future marketing strategies and initiatives.
- Competitor analysis - You will conduct comprehensive research on GOSS's competitors and present your findings to the Head of Marketing and Sales Team to inform strategic decision-making.
- GOSS brand management - You will contribute to the maintenance of the GOSS brand image by creating various brand assets for internal and external use, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
- Event management - You will play a key role in coordinating and facilitating GOSS client events and webinars. Additionally, you will assist in identifying relevant third-party industry exhibitions for the GOSS Sales Team to attend and you'll also manage the logistics of these events.
- Marketing project management - You will be required to manage specific marketing projects, collaborating with the broader GOSS Team to deliver projects autonomously without direct supervision from the Head of Marketing.
- Marketing system management and development - You will need to be proficient in using a range of marketing systems, including marketing automation, CRM, and content management systems, to manage GOSS's marketing activity. This includes staying informed about system developments, suggesting enhancements, and optimising marketing operations for greater efficiency.
About you
We're seeking an individual passionate about marketing and/or communications, ideally with hands-on experience in delivering b2b marketing, email campaigns, and/or social media communications.
The ideal candidate will showcase adeptness in both written and verbal communication, possess a confident grasp of marketing research and data analytics, and exhibit keen attention to detail, creative skills, and a need for consistency. While not mandatory, a strong enthusiasm for embracing new technologies and digital self-service would be highly desirable.
Qualifications
You should possess, or be about to receive, a degree (or equivalent) in marketing or a related discipline. Alternatively, relevant industry experience in a related field would also be considered.

Interview details
Initial interviews will be held via Microsoft Teams, with an estimated duration of 20 minutes. Upon successful completion, candidates will proceed to a second-stage interview, lasting approximately 1 hour, either at the GOSS offices in Plymouth or via Microsoft Teams. Applicants are expected to provide evidence of their previous work during the interview process.
