    This Internship will provide paid legal work experience to students or graduates. Being a good lawyer goes beyond just understanding the law. This opportunity has been designed to provide an insight into the perspective of life as a lawyer, working within the in-house legal team at a multinational corporation, understanding the business and how the client operates. In turn, the opportunity to gain experience from the perspective of an international commercial law firm, advising their clients, collaborating across teams and sectors within the firm.

    What does the programme involve?

    Two students or graduates will be recruited for the Internships, scheduled to take place from 18 July – 29 July, and 30 August - 9 September.

    The successful applicants will experience first-hand legal experience for one-week at Gowling WLG 's London office, 4 More London Riverside, London, SE1 2AU, followed by the following week spent at Cummins' London office, 10 Eastbourne Terrace, London, W2 6LG.

    Salary Details

    £390 per week

    Who is eligible for the programme?

    We welcome applications from underrepresented groups, and for this internship we are specifically focusing on individuals from Black heritage backgrounds. Given the low levels of representation of people from Black heritage backgrounds in our industry, we believe this internship will help towards addressing this imbalance within the legal sector.

    In order to be eligible, you should also meet the following criteria:

    • You are a current student or graduate
    • You are interested in working as a Solicitor in the UK

    Please note, preference will be given to applicants who meet one or more of the following criteria:

    • You attended a non-fee paying school for your secondary education
    • You have been in receipt of Free School Meals
    • You have lived under local authority care (e.g. in foster care or a care home)
    • You have regularly undertaken paid work during university term time
