What is Access Accountancy?
Access Accountancy exists to ensure that everyone has an equal chance of accessing, and progressing within, the accountancy profession based on merit, not background.
Accountancy firms, organisations and professional bodies have committed to measurable outcomes, which aim to deliver real change and welcome talented and ambitious young people to the profession from all backgrounds, supporting social mobility. Our Access Accountancy work experience programme, will take place on the below dates virtually for the following year groups:
- Years 12/S5 and 13/S6
- Monday 24th October – Thursday 27th October
The programme we are offering is a four-day virtual work experience programme, where students will receive the following:
- Pre and post programme support
- Introduction to Accountancy across Audit, Tax and Advisory (using interactive case studies)
- Business skills development (teamwork, communication, confidence, networking and making presentations)
- Employability skills, recruitment, and careers advice
The aim of the programme is to give students a taste of what it’s like to work within a global professional services firm, as well as developing skills both personally and professionally. Whether you are looking for a fast track onto our school leaver apprenticeship programme or to build your CV ahead of university, this is a great opportunity for you to enhance your experience.
