Great minds. Nothing alike.
Get to know us, our clients and start learning more about yourself. As an intern in our Financial Services Audit department, you’ll be connecting with the issues our clients are facing, providing independent advice so they can confidently do what is right and make the best decisions for the future. The constantly evolving landscape calls for an approach that puts what is right first and you will need to push ideas harder and ask difficult questions, giving our clients the assurance they need.
The Financial Services Audit team specialise in providing External Audit to entities that operate within the financial services umbrella, including insurance, insurance brokers, FX traders, FCA regulated entities, hedge fund managers, investment managers, private equity houses and fully listed investment /venture capital trusts. With such a large number of our clients, being fully listed and/or regulated, the assurance given by an external audit opinion is an important element of building trust and integrity in markets. There’ll be challenges along the way, but you’ll be supported and able to meet each one with a solution. That’s how you’ll excel here.
Please note, the internship programme will run from Monday 30th June to Friday 25th July 2025. You must be available for the full duration of the programme.
We take pride in quality across the firm and have made a significant investment in this area – it is at the heart of everything we do. We have once again received top marks in our audit quality from the Financial Reporting Council in its Audit Quality Review.
A look into your future
Your internship will start with an orientation where you’ll get to know your new colleagues and fellow interns, and immerse yourself in our business, vision and purpose. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll experience during your four weeks with us:
- Hands on experience in the different aspects of audit, with a variety of clients
- Taking ownership for interesting and challenging client work
- You’ll develop a strong internal and external network to learn from
- You’ll get experience in everything from examining financial records, carrying out audit tests and completing audit files
- Working closely with colleagues to provide robust challenge and market leading insights to help clients meet their regulatory needs and business objectives
- You may be required to spend time travelling to a variety of client offices
- On the job learning, alongside structured training
- At the end of the programme, you’ll have gained a wide range of skills and experience which will support your learning and development back at university and when you return to the workplace
