Reporting into the Senior Learning and Development Manager, a great opportunity to join Greggs and help us shape the future of learning across the business. You will lead on promoting a culture of learning by creating stretching development opportunities for all high potential colleagues across the business, including Career development programmes, Graduates and Apprenticeships. You will have responsibility of managing one direct report.
This is a full time, permanent position based at Greggs House in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Work Pattern
Our working hours are usually Monday - Friday however we are open to discuss flexibility with regards to this working pattern with the successful candidate.
What you'll do
- Review the existing Development Programmes (Career Pathways) to determine update and re-design, leading on evolvement of the programmes identifying how we can make them even more effective and future fit
- Co-ordinate the overall plans for the delivery of all Career Pathways programmes, and facilitate key topics
- Manage the design and delivery of the Greggs Graduate Programme (to be launched 2023)
- Manage the relationship with all external Apprenticeship Training Providers and optimise the use of our Apprenticeship Levy fund to provide necessary apprenticeships for the business.
- Report on a regular basis the progress of individual apprentices on their Individual Learning plans and the financial status of our Apprenticeship Levy fund.
- Lead on the annual Talent Management process and cycle
- Design and facilitate learning and development content for our learning portfolio including facilitated sessions and self-directed learning resources
- Design storyboards for digital learning materials, working alongside the L&D Manager Digital Learning.

- Extensive knowledge of different learning theories and experience of managing the full learning cycle (analysis, design, facilitation and evaluation)
- Excellent face to face and virtual facilitation skills
- Very strong written skills to produce session plans, storyboards and learning support materials.
- Strong organisational and project management skills
