Apparel Graphic & Print Design Placement Solihull 2023

The Apparel Graphic and Print Design Placement will work within the Product Design team helping create graphics and print from initial concept to completion for apparel. This is an opportunity to learn design excellence. You will build on your aesthetic, technical and commercial awareness combined with an expanding your curiosity and creative outlook working within a collaborative team.

Placement Duration: 13 Months
Location: Solihull, UK

What you’ll learn

• The day-to-day planning of seasonal workloads
• Researching of market and emerging trends and influences in graphics and print
• Assisting with design admin - producing print ready artwork, actioning design amends and keeping the Product Line Management system up to date
• How Gymshark’s DNA, creative direction and seasonal strategies are implemented through all concepts and designs.
• Creating graphic artworks and all over print for both Men's & Women’s collections, from initial concept to completion.
• Working closely with development counterparts to problem solve in product execution
• Supporting the delivery of design deadlines and key development dates in the critical path
• Presenting research and design concepts effectively
• Working with design leads and Product Management teams to learn how to create graphics that the consumer will love
• Executing product briefs, as delivered by Product Management
• Receiving and utilising constructive feedback on design work from peers
• Understanding the commercial impact of design decisions made during the product creation process

To be successful for an Apparel Graphic and Print Design placement with us, you will have:

• A keen eye for detail and the ability to deliver unique design work to a high standard
• Good working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• A passion for designing for clothing
• Knowledge of repeat patterns and print techniques would be advantageous
